Budget Counseling
Certified financial professionals provide free credit assessment and budget creation. They analyze your financial situation, create a spending plan and offer recommendations for goals (auto purchase, saving) and issues (medical debt, credit card debt).
Debt Management
Repay your debt with our Debt Management Program and become debt free. Lower your monthly payments , and interest fees, and stop collection calls, late and over-the-limit fees.
Credit Report Review
We can provide you with a copy of your credit report interpreted by a credit professional who can help identify errors or fraud that are lowering your score and costing you money.
Pre-filing Bankruptcy
We can help you complete the required counseling session prior to filing your bankruptcy.
Reverse Mortgage
We can help you determine if a reverse mortgage is right for you, and complete the HUD-approved Reverse Mortgage Counseling required as a part of your reverse mortgage process.
Mortgage Delinquency Counseling
If you have fallen behind on your mortgage payments, or are at risk of falling behind, one of our HUD-approved housing counselors can help you address the problem.
Pre-Purchase House Counseling
Pre-purchase counseling offers a one-on-one assessment with a housing counselor to help you learn about the home buying process, the requirements, and to understand the financial commitment of buying and maintaining a home.
Student Loan
Our counselors can help you find the current status of your student loans, and develop a repayment strategy that best fits the bigger picture of your financial situation.
For your protection, in order to complete your credit report review you must provide CCOA with proof of your identity through a valid municipal, state or federal photo ID (driver’s license, passport, etc.)
To ensure your balances are as accurate as possible, please take the time to send us copies of your most recent statements from your creditors. With these statements CCOA can better estimate when you will be debt free! There are three ways to send these statements to CCOA:
